Air pollution delays unacceptable
Transform Scotland has published its
response to the Government's Consultation on Air Quality Plans.
Colin Howden has stated,
"It's not acceptable that Government is once again seeking delays in the timetable for compliance with air quality standards. They have been fully aware - since the 1990s - of the need to meet EU directives on air pollution. It is therefore deeply disappointing that the Governments propose yet further delay in meeting targets put in place to provide basic levels of protection for human health."
