Fix It First newsletter article

Transform Scotland has launched a new campaign - Fix It First - calling on the Government to prioritise repairing the existing road network over building new roads. Not only will safe, well-maintained roads contribute to fewer accidents and repair costs, they can have wider economic and environmental impacts that should no longer be ignored.
After 84% of Scotts polled agreed that the Government should give priority to fixing this crumbling road network before building new roads, Transform Scotland launched this new campaign calling on a halt to the £9 billion new road spending plan until the £2.25 billion road repair backlog has been cleared.
This campaign will be seeking support from across the country in order to move forward its vision of a better transport future for Scotland.
