New train station at Bathgate
Board member Paul Tetlaw, attending the launch on behalf of Transform Scotland said:
"We welcome the opening of the new station in Bathgate and now look forward to the full line opening in December. A regular frequency electrified railway will transform the transport choices for many people living in West Lothian and North Lanarkshire and should lead to a significant modal shift from the car to the train. "There is every reason to believe that, as with other recent rail re-openings, the passenger numbers will outperform the projections."
