New tram depot at Gogar

On 3 May, along with a number of our members groups, we were able to visit the new tram depot at Gogar on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The building itself is complete and we were shown the control room and workshop/servicing areas. Outside the building extensive trackwork has been laid in the stabling sidings.

A short section of test track will next be laid - running from the depot to the tram stop serving the Royal Bank of Scotland headquarters.
