PRINCES STREET OPEN FOR BUSES, TAXIS AND CYCLISTS
 
Mandy Haeburn-Little, Director for Customer Services & Communications said:
"We are delighted to confirm that Princes Street re-opned this mornnig to buses, taxis and cyclists.  Our contractors, staff and partners worked throughout the night in some appalling weather conditions to ensure that we were able to re-open Princes Street this morning.  Due to the hard work of everyone involved,  the first Lothian bus drove down Princes Street early this morning followed shortly by the first taxis and cyclists.
 
"We are very grateful for the hard work of everyone involved in ensuring that Princes Street was ready for opening this morning it has been a superb team effort. We would also like to thank the public, retailers and other stakeholders for their patience over the past months."
