NPF3 proposals presented to government
In December, we put forward three projects for inclusion in the government’s new National Planning Framework (NPF3).
Our active travel proposal was supported by a number of other active travel groups, including Cycling Scotland, Paths for All, the Ramblers, and Sustrans. We’ve also put forward a proposal for an upgraded Scottish Inter-City Express Network. This would deliver faster journey times to and from Aberdeen and Inverness, including reinstatement of a key railway route lost in the Beeching Axe of fifty years ago.
We’re going to spend the next couple of months going round the Parliament to make the case for these important projects to feature in NPF3 when it is published later this year.
