Scott admires progress
Princes Street is quite rightly rated as one of the world's great thoroughfares and now it is going to have a transport system to match that status.
This unique shot from the top of the Scott Monument shows the rapid progress in laying tram tracks along the street.
Paul Tetlaw, Chair of Transform Scotland said:
"For far too long we have watched while countries around the world build modern light rail transport systems to serve the heart of their cities. Now Edinburgh is joining that first division group of cities and this dramatic photo shows the very real progress being made along Princes Street."
