Transform Scotland welcomes Queen Margaret University as newest member
Transform Scotland today (Thursday 29th) welcomed their newest membership organisation, Queen Margaret University.
Gill Kelly, Sustainable Travel Co-ordinator at Queen Margaret University, said:
"Rather than battling alone in the face of increasingly commercially driven transport provision, it will be great to be part of a recognised campaigning group and benefit from their experience, reputation and influence. Transform Scotland has a lot of credibility in the sector, and have developed excellent networks of relationships across the board, which can only be of mutual advantage."
Paul Tetlaw, Chair of Transform Scotland, said:
"We are delighted that Queen Margaret University have come on board. Working with all sectors of society is vital if we are to change travel behaviour and move towards a much more sensible system of transport. Organisations such as QMU communicate directly to thousands of individuals - employees, students, alumni and research partners - influencing individual behaviour as well as illustrating the benefits of sustainable transport."
Queen Margaret University joins the University of Edinburgh and Napier University's Transport Research Institute and as education sector organisations who are already members of Transform Scotland.
