Wanted: enterprising individual

Since the beginning of 2013, Transform Scotland has been investigating the potential to formalise its research and communications functions. This began with work undertaken by FreshSight, The University of Edinburgh consultancy and followed up by Community Enterprise Limited (with support from Just Enterprise, Edinburgh Social Enterprise Network and Investing in Ideas).

The work has culminated with Transform Scotland being awarded funding through the Scottish Government’s Enterprise Ready Fund to set up the ‘transform research and communications’ social enterprise. This new enterprise will offer contract-based sustainable transport consultancy services to a variety of clients.

The income generated by ‘transform research and communications’ will contribute directly to Transform Scotland’s core campaigning and lobbying functions for a transport system that is environmentally sustainable, socially inclusive and economically responsible.

We are now seeking an experienced individual with proven skills in winning and identifying business opportunities and generating income, to launch and manage ‘transform research and communications’.

The post is initially funded until March 31st 2015. Salary is £28,680 with a start date, as soon as possible. The job description and person specification is available for download from the link on the right.

The deadline for applications is 17:00 on Wednesday 19th March 2014. Please submit CV and covering letter by email to Emma Margrett at <emma.margrett@transformscotland.org.uk>.
