Welcome for cross-party support for Edinburgh trams

Transform Scotland has welcomed the support of all political parties on The City of Edinburgh Council for work to begin on constructing tram line along the Capital's Princes Street.

Transform Scotland Director Colin Howden said:

"It is very welcome to see Edinburgh council pushing ahead with this important project. It is imperative for this project to be carried out successfully if we are to move towards a modern public transport system for our Capital on a par with the best countries in Europe.

"It is especially welcome to see the SNP Councillors voting in support of the Edinburgh tram scheme."
