Welcome for Edinburgh support for 'Park Green' proposals
Colin Howden, Director of Transform Scotland, said:
"It is very welcome that City of Edinburgh Council have decided to implement the proposals. "The scheme provides incentives for people to purchase less polluting vehicles rather than more polluting vehicles. It is important that financial incentives are given to people to choose more sustainable ways to travel and the 'Park Green' scheme is an important move in that direction."The proposals received strong public support in the public consultation and it is disappointing only that the Conservative councillors on the Committee wanted to block the scheme."Our views on the result of the consultation are available at: <
