Smarter Choices briefing published
Smarter Choices are a series of measures that aim to reduce reliance on the private car, increase multi modal travel, and reduce congestion. The term Smarter Choices includes a wide range of transport policy options ranging from promoting public transport and car clubs, providing technology for new working practices such as videoconferencing and teleworking, and introducing travel plans into schools, work and the home. This briefing gives an overview of the different types of Smarter Choices and how they can help reduce congestion, increase active travel, and how they can save public and private organisations money.
