Edinburgh encouraged to support 'Park Green' proposals

In advance of tomorrow's City of Edinburgh Council consideration of the 'Park Green' proposals, Colin Howden, Director of Transform Scotland, said:

"We were pleased to see the strong public support expressed in the public consultation for the 'Park Green' proposals.

"The scheme would reward those households who have less polluting vehicle at the expense of those with more polluting vehicles.
It is important that we see swift progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector and the 'Park Green' proposals appear to be the best way of ensuring that this happens at this point in time.

"We hope that the Council will support the proposals at tomorrow's TIE Committee meeting."
